André BATSLE
EFIAP

I was born in 1930 and made a carreer in the marble industry.
My first "Agfa" camera was bought in Germany, when I served in the army. That was the starting point of my interest in photography. Immediately after leaving the service, I joined a club where I was lucky to find excellent advice and several friends.
In 1962, I bought a 6 x 6 "Rollei" which I enjoyed using for several years. I finally adopted the 24 x 36 format with its interchangeable lenses.
I participated in several national and international exhibits. As most amateurs, I have been doing transparencies and color prints. I really do prefer black and white photography however, which fits me best to express my feelings.
My professional activities kept me away from photography for a dozen of years, but now that I am retired and have more free time, I resumed taking pictures with great pleasure.
Current equipment: Nikon body and its lenses, especially the 135 and 300 mm telelenses.
